College Overview
Simption College was established by the Simption Education Society with the vision of providing quality higher education to the students of the region. The college is affiliated to the State University, recognised by the University Grants Commission, and its professional programmes are approved by the respective statutory councils.
The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across engineering, pharmacy, management and commerce, computer applications, nursing, arts and education, and science and agriculture. Teaching is outcome-based and aligned to the National Education Policy 2020, with practical training, internships and continuous evaluation built into every programme.
The campus provides a library with digital resources, computer and science laboratories, smart classrooms, a seminar hall, sports facilities, separate hostels for boys and girls, a health centre and transport. Students are supported by a placement cell, a scholarship desk, counselling services and the statutory committees that keep the campus safe and ragging-free.

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
The IQAC was constituted as per the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the academic and administrative performance of the college.
- Development and application of quality benchmarks for academic and administrative activities.
- Facilitating a learner-centric environment, the use of technology in teaching, and faculty development.
- Collecting feedback from students, parents, alumni and employers on the quality of teaching and services.
- Documentation of activities leading to quality improvement and preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR).
- Coordination of NAAC, NIRF and other assessment and ranking submissions.
The IQAC is chaired by the Principal and includes senior faculty, administrative officers, and nominees of the management, alumni, students, employers and the local community.

Library
A well-stocked library with textbooks, reference books, journals and digital resources through N-LIST / e-ShodhSindhu, a reading hall and reprographic services.
Laboratories
Computer, science, engineering, pharmacy and nursing laboratories equipped as per the norms of the respective statutory councils.
Smart Classrooms & Seminar Hall
Projector-equipped classrooms, a seminar hall and an auditorium for lectures, workshops, conferences and college functions.
Hostels
Separate hostels for boys and girls with mess, Wi-Fi, reading rooms, resident wardens, CCTV and round-the-clock security.
Sports & Recreation
Playgrounds for cricket, football and athletics, courts for basketball, volleyball and kabaddi, an indoor games room and a gymnasium.
Transport, Health & Amenities
College buses on the main routes of the city and nearby towns, a health centre with a visiting doctor, a cafeteria, a bank / ATM and a stationery store.
Research, Innovation & Extension
The Research & Innovation Council promotes research among faculty and students through seminar grants, publication support, guidance on funded projects and collaboration with industry. Students are encouraged to take up projects, present papers and participate in hackathons and innovation challenges.
The college's NSS and NCC units, and its extension activities in the neighbouring villages — health camps, literacy drives, tree plantation and awareness programmes — connect learning with service to the community.
